WORKING CONDITIONS IN MEXICO

VS

WORKING CONDITIONS IN THE USA

In this essay, I will speak of two countries, Mexico and the United States which are located in North America, and both countries share the high number of unemployed people, explain that although the working conditions are different in each one, they also exist Similarities, I think this happens because there are cultural differences, different governments and regulations about work
Considering the minimum wage of both countries, we can see a clear difference in working conditions. In the United States pays 7.25 dollars per hour of work, in contrast, in Mexico 80.04 pesos are paid per working day, which is why most of the population in our country is below the poverty line and consider that the cost Of living is so expensive.
The work days are similar, in the United States the working day is normally from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and in Mexico the working day is 8 hours; But if we take the United States, for example, the worker is entitled to one hour of food and two breaks of 15 minutes within his schedule, while in Mexico there is no regulation that talks about times of rest or food.
Regarding benefits, employment in Mexico lacks the most basic ones such as IMSS and INFONAVIT, since 39.90% of workers do not have access to them, and in the United States, 79% of US employees would prefer other benefits, Such as medical insurance, paid vacation days or a retirement plan. In Mexico workers are entitled by law to two weeks minimum salary and pay in December, this benefit does not exist in the United States, although many companies give economic bonuses to their workers, the law does not oblige them.
To sum up, the working conditions may or may not be similar in both countries, but I consider that it also depends on the work area and the competitiveness of the person in the performance of his work, since in any of the two places, the more Rises in the scale of work, more will be asked to work, so that both countries are far from having good working conditions as in Europe.
An example is what happens in Mexico City, where people are more time away than at home, because many people work on the other side of the city, and spend a lot of time on public transportation.

I found a tool that allos to compare wages and work oppotunities depending on your major.
First, there is a chart that shows the monthly income and unemployment rate of professionals under 30 years.

Also, it shows a salary calculator, between other things.

This tool was created by "El Universal", and this is the link:

Video: Things Non-Spanish-Speaking Latinos Are Sick of Hearing

I think it is important not to forget their mother tongue,
even if you have latin friends, or I believe in countries as united states, you could found a lot of people who speak spanish and english and you could get confused if they speak with you in spanish and you will can not understand them, probably they speak about theirs customs or traditions and you don´t know.

This is probably the reason why they are tired of hearing that why they do not speak Spanish if they are Latinos
